Within the galaxy of Italian design in the 1970s and 1980s, some iconic lamps were created. Mezzaluna, a floor lamp with a half-moon shaped diffuser was designed in 1975 by Bruno Gecchelin. The fixture became an icon of a decade, but was overshadowed by outdated halogen lighting. In 2024, the lamp is reissued with integrated Led technology, a reissue that pushes it back into orbit.
The lamp consists of a white marble base, a chrome-plated metal stem and a metal head in five colours: white, black, yellow, red, blue and chrome. The head moves and directs the lighting accordingly, while thanks to the telescopic trunk it is possible to adjust the height from 184cm to 221cm. The lamp comes with a built-in slide dimmer on the head.
2 filters are included to change the temperature of the lighting (2700K very warm light and 2700K warm light).
